Add a News Item

Edit or delete a News Item

Display a News Page on your website

1) In the Website Manager select News:

The Manage News Item page appears.

3) Enter the News Item Details:

Topic:	Enter the News heading.
Short description:	Write a brief description of the news topic.
Read More Link Type:	File - Choose from a list of files uploaded on the site. More info on Files Custom Page - Choose a custom page you have created. More info on custom pages Built-in Page - Choose a page that is preloaded into the total program. More info on built-in pages External Link - Enter a URL to link to another website.
Date Visible:	Select the date on the calendar which the news will become visible.
Active:	Make the news item active by checking the Active box. If it is unchecked, it will not appear on the News Page

1) In the Website Manager select Menus:

To Edit: Click on the edit icon next to the News topic

Edit the News Item properties as explained in Adding a News Item

to save your changes and exit.

to exit without saving your changes.

To Delete:

to remove the News item from your homepage.

Note: You can also delete a News item by clicking on the in the right column of the News List page.

Note: You can add the link to the Top Menu or Left Menu of your homepage.

The Manage Menu Item page appears.

3) Enter the following information:

Menu Location:	Defined on the Menu List page. May be TOP or LEFT
Link Type:	Built-in Page (choose from list)
Built-in Pages:	In the drop-down menu choose News. (choose from list)
Menu Text:	Enter the text you want to appear on the homepage menu. (Required)
Page Title:	Enter the text you want to appear in the the web browser titlebar for the page. If left blank the titlebar will read "Untitled".

Note: The News Page will contain News items you have created and will automatically update when News items are added, edited or deleted.

to save changes and add the News link to your homepage menu.

to exit without saving your changes.
